Swimming, cycling, hiking, lifting, long-range shooting — and just trying to keep the years at bay. Alaska provides an incredible backdrop for staying active, whether it's riding through the Chugach Mountains, cycling the Big Island, or hitting the pool and the range year-round.
The crew that makes it all worthwhile
Dan and Crystal have been married since 1990. Dan calls Alaska home forever, while Crystal lives predominantly in Arizona — hey, they're non-traditional!
Danielle (1996) married Ryan Apathy in 2024. They're based in Seattle, with Ryan currently in Portland finishing his Internal Medicine residency. Jonah (1997) is also in Seattle. Anna Grace (2003) still calls Alaska home, but is working on her Ph.D. in Chemistry at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
And then there's the pack — Atlas the Mighty, a 4-pound Yorkie with a name that far exceeds his stature (2017); Lily, the 15-pound Labradoodle (2019); and Iris, the Shih Tzu mix who rounds out the crew (2021).
Between the kids, the dogs, and all the hobbies — there's never a dull moment in the Rogers household.
